Krazdan Birnt

Krazdan Birnt, to some a grumpy, trouble causing, stunted bigot, to others (himself anyway) a Dwarven hero and voice of reason; always tends to have something to say, usually something disagreeable.

Krazdan, is short, even for a dwarf, wide, even for a dwarf and outwardly grumpy, even for a dwarf. He considers few people to be genuine friends, but is absolutely loyal to those upon whom he bestows this "privilege".

Krazdan has little recollection of his life prior to dragging himself from a rockfall, somewhere to the NW of Red Mountain Keep. He recalls happier days deep underground in the company of other dwarves; roaring forges, fine weaponry and good beer, but it all seems like a dream. Maybe its a product of this feeling of not belonging (or maybe a severe bang to the head) that has resulted in Kraz's generally cynical, aggressive mindset, who knows, but one thing is to be certain, he doesn't suffer fools.

With a loathing of the open spaces, often termed the overland, and a love of combat, Krazdan, decided to take up adventuring, for some sense of purpose and to find a legal way of being able to release his frustrations, maiming and killing dungeon denizens (not to mention all that lovely treasure). Thus, some time ago Krazdan entered the Caverns of Hasjan, joined up with a motley crew of fledgling adventurers and started hacking his way to (hopeful) greatness. Seeking some support in his endeavours Krazdan decided to join a guild, dismissing the Eagles and White Tower as beurocrats, Kraz saw the Walkers as most befitting his nature, always tending to push the limits, free to act as he wishes, but offering a sense of belonging.

To date Krazdan has caused several "named" servants of darkness in Hasjan to be "forgotten", fought against the Demon Queen Jenatta and most troublingly, negotiated with Lady Jasmine, Lord Crusader of Shanna, in an attempt to regain one of the lost annals pages.

Kraz is proud to have received communiques from the Regent, Dirk Steadfast, in connection with the CotHL situation and the missing annals page. To be recognized by such an esteemed military man, has tended to make Krazdan even more full of himself, thus he can be a pain to engage in conversation, but this tends to be outweighed by his effectiveness in combat.

Whether Krazdan's frequent verbal assaults on a variety of targets (generally centaurs, elves and other "tree huggers") are based on genuine animosity or a desire to provoke a reaction and in his own twisted way, laugh at those he considers to already be making fools of themselves, is uncertain. However, the one thing that can be certain is that if anyone takes sufficient offence to seek out this somewhat disturbed dwarf in battle, he will meet them head to head (or more likely head to groin)!

While Krazdan appreciates that someone (NOT him) needs to deal with the administrative duties of the Walkers, the present leader Lydia is yet to gain his respect, being in Kraz's opinion, far too green in combat to take orders from. However, Alethea Sidhe, deputy leader of the guild, despite her "unusual predicament" has proven to be a friend and comrade at arms in the past, so while she accepts Lydia's leadership, for friendships sake Krazdan will attempt to hold his tongue!
