...at which point, despite my explicit instructions to the contrary, G-2 fired three missiles directly into the Spectra ship's engines. The ship exploded immediately. We were therefore unable to gain any information about the location of the enemy base.
I have asked G-2 to write his own report on this incident, since I consider his action to be the direct cause of our failure. As far as I know, he has not yet done so. He has refused to discuss the incident with me.
Mark, Commander of G-Force.
Anderson finished reading the report, sighed, and rubbed his eyes. It would be best to sort this out as quickly as possible. Mark and Jason were good friends. He was sure they just needed to talk it over. He pressed a button on his desk and asked Mark and Jason to come to his office straight away.

Mark arrived first. "Chief', I think Jason should be suspended."
"No," said Anderson. "Jason hasn't lost his temper or shot a ship without your permission for ages, has he?
"No, but I still think he should be suspended," said Mark, "like I said in the report, he was the reason we couldn't locate the base."
"Mark," said Anderson standing up. "Jason probably did it because he thought you weren't going to take any action."
Jason was coming up the stairs to Anderson's office.
"Come in," called Anderson sitting down again.
"Anderson," shouted Jason, "I destroyed the enemy ship, what's so bad about that?
"We couldn't find the BASE!" stormed Mark.
"That's enough Mark," said Anderson.
"Mark," said Jason, "why don't we destroy the ship THEN look for the base? Spectrans that could fight us might die on the ship."
Mark was really cross, he was going purple in the face, his look made Anderson feel scared.
"I'M NOT GOING TO WORK, NOT WITH HIM!" Mark now had a very dark violet face.
"WHO SAID I WANTED TO WORK WITH YOU?" shouted Jason.
"Mark, Jason, will you please stop acting like babies in the nursery and be friends," said Anderson.
"NO!" yelled Jason and Mark together.
"I WOULDN'T BE FRIENDS WITH HIM IF YOU PAID ME," yelled Mark.
"Be quiet," said Anderson. "Zark wants to talk to you."
"Who cares?" said Jason, but he went anyway .

When they got to Zark's place,1 Rover 1 let them in.
"Mark, Jason made a little mistake so pleeeeease forgive him."
"What, you think I would forgive him? You can get that out of your mind," said Mark.
"But commander," said Zark," I have think capacitors, I don't have a mind -"
"Shut up you old piece of metal," said Jason.
When they had gone, Zark went around his ready room. Poor Jason, Zark thought. How could anyone not love me? After all I'm a bit lovable so Jason must have a problem with his mind. I just hope that it doesn't stop his amazing abilities. I must let Anderson know this because if this is true Jason could be in a lot of trouble.
Zark went to his monitor screen. "Calling Chief Anderson, this is Zark, I think Jason could be in a lot of trouble because he didn't love me! After all I'm a lovable robot."
"He's had an argument with Mark. I told you that after I got the report, weren't you listening?"
"I was thinking about the big race Jason is in on Friday, I'll bet he wins it."
"He's not doing it," said Anderson.
"Oh what a shame," said Zark. "well, bye then Chief."

Mark was going home, it just wasn't fair. He was the commander and he thought Jason should be suspended, he decided he wasn't going to be the Eagle until Jason was suspended. He knew what Anderson would say about this, Anderson would tell him not to be silly but he didn't care, maybe for once he'd get to go in his jet and not be on a mission.

In Centre Neptune Zark spotted a UFO. "This is very bad," said Zark. "I must contact Chief Anderson at once."
* * * * *
"This is 7-Zark-7, please assemble with your team-mates on the Phoenix."
"No way Zark," said Mark, "I don't work with Jason."
"Jason isn't..." Mark grabbed his bracelet and threw it on the floor, why did that old tin can always spoil everything?
"Mark," came a voice on the bracelet, "I would like..."
"Shut up you rusty biscuit tin."
"Who are you calling a rusty biscuit tin? and why did you cut me off?"
"Oh, sorry Chief," said Mark looking embarrassed. "I was talking about Zark."
"YOU WHAT?" came a voice on the bracelet. Mark was surprised the bracelet didn't blow up, he turned his communicator off and went home.

Seeing as Mark and Jason had refused to come in case the other came , Princess, Tiny and Keyop had to fight the enemy spaceship on their own except they couldn't see the enemy spaceship, they could only see missiles, then suddenly the firing stopped.
"Where did the missiles go?" squawked Keyop.
"Hell hopefully," said Princess, "along with Zoltar."
"Some hope," said Tiny. "Is there a restaurant near here here? I haven't eaten for a whole hour!"
"How will you survive?" said Princess. "Most of us have not eaten for three hours let alone one."
"Poor people, I feel sorry for you," said Tiny.
"It's getting very hot in here isn't it?" said Princess.
"Is it?" said Tiny, "I can't feel anything except hungriness."
"Big stomach," said Keyop, "stop thinking about your stomach, it's not that important."
"Yes it is," answered Tiny. "It's the best organ by miles."
"Only when the implants are working," said Princess, "because the implants stop him thinking about it as much as he would normally. I find my most useful organ is my brain."
"Come to think of it I suppose that is best really." The pilot had gone slightly pink at being seen forgetting his brain.
"His brain only thinks about food," said Keyop.
"Apart from the times it is thinking about juice," said Princess.
"Good point," squawked Keyop.
Suddenly a shower of missiles hit them. They were all completely knocked out except for Keyop. He got into his space buggy and fired at where the missiles were coming from. He didn't hear any explosion. He fired again, still no noise at all. The missiles were coming in faster and stronger so Keyop went backwards at full speed. Then he stopped. The missiles had stopped, letting the sun come through like a giant hot air balloon on fire.
"Keyop calling Princess." No response. "Keyop calling Tiny." Still nothing. WHAM! A missile hit him. He was unconscious.

Mark was going to the race track, he knew the password to Jason's car alarm. He slipped off his motorbike, got some scissors and dug them into Jason's tyre. Then Jason would see it in the training and have to quit the race. That would be perfect revenge. Jason had spoiled his mission now he would spoil Jason's race.
* * * * *
Jason got into his car, it wouldn't start moving. Oh he'd left the brakes on. He shot round the course like a bullet coming out of a gun. On the third lap he felt a bit wobbly but on the fourth lap his wheel came off and he went straight into the wall. He collapsed, his leg was broken. I'm dead now, thought Jason. G-Force are on a mission and Mark is hardly going to come, he hates me. He won't talk to me, let alone help me, but Mark is my only hope. He got his bracelet.
"Jason calling Mark. Mark do you read me."
Mark heard Jason and immediately knew what he was on about. He decided he'd go down to the track. He got in his car and went to the track. Jason was unconscious and it was all Mark's fault!
Mark was scared but he dragged Jason to his car and put him in. Jason's eyes opened, but for barely a second. Mark took Jason to the hospital.
Several hours passed but Jason didn't wake up. Mark felt really scared, but the doctors said it was normal. Then Anderson came to see him.
"The rest of the team had an attack but were rescued by Colonel Cronus and his men," Anderson told Mark. "They will come to see you when they are conscious."
When the rest of the team came they were tremendously shocked that Mark had been so rude to Zark and Anderson. But Anderson thought it was good that Mark was friends with Jason again.
Mark was exceptionally glad that nobody knew how bad he'd been.
THE END for now!!
